UBS Asia Wealth Hires Strengthen Management in Greater China and Southeast Asia

UBS has reinforced its Asia wealth management division with several UBS Asia wealth hires across Southeast Asia and Greater China. Neil Yiu has been appointed market team head for South East Asia Hong Kong, reporting to Adeline Chien, while Pierre Widmer becomes head of GWM A&S North Asia. In Greater China, Simon Chang re-joins UBS in Hong Kong as market team head for Taiwan international business after a period at J.P. Morgan, and Sherwin Wong, also ex-J.P. Morgan and a former UBS banker, was appointed market team head for private clients Hong Kong. Effective 1 September, these UBS Asia wealth hires highlight the bank’s strategy to expand its coverage of fast-growing markets following its integration of Credit Suisse.
