Singapore family offices are increasingly driving charitable giving as their numbers surpassed 2,000 by end-2024, marking a tenfold rise in five years. Authorities credit tax incentives, clear rules and a robust advisory base for attracting wealthy families, with philanthropy growing in parallel. Donations from leading givers nearly doubled to SGD431m (USD318m), according to consultancy Soristic, with Singapore family offices supporting healthcare, sustainability and innovation initiatives. The Gates Foundation opened a Singapore hub in May 2025 to mobilise USD100m for Southeast Asian health projects. Regulators have expanded tax benefits and training standards for philanthropy advisers, while networks such as ImpactSG are embedding charitable giving more deeply into Singapore’s wealth management ecosystem.
