UBS USD1tr AUM Asia-Pacific has been reached, underlining the region’s importance in the bank’s USD6.6tr global total. The Swiss wealth manager recorded USD11.1bn in net new asset growth in the second quarter, its strongest across all regions, as wealthy clients diversified holdings amid geopolitical uncertainty. “The strong results demonstrate how we have continued to stay close to our clients in a volatile quarter,” said Amy Lo, co-head of UBS Wealth Management Asia-Pacific. The milestone follows the integration of Credit Suisse’s regional client base after last year’s takeover. UBS also staged its Disruptive Technology CEO Summit in Hong Kong, drawing 1,500 participants. Nobel laureate Christopher Pissarides and venture capitalist Lee Kai-fu were among the keynote speakers, discussing how rapid innovation is transforming work and wealth.
