Taiwan Family Offices Drive Singapore Succession Planning Demand

Taiwan family offices are increasingly turning to Singapore to institutionalise wealth, expand internationally and prepare for intergenerational succession as Taiwan's AI-driven economic boom creates a new generation of ultra-high-net-worth families.
Wealth managers and legal advisers reported a sharp increase in enquiries over the past year for trusts, single-family offices, variable capital companies and investment fund structures.
KGP Legal said it had received more than 15 enquiries so far this year, compared with just four or five during 2025, while IQ-EQ said many families are shifting their focus from wealth creation towards long-term wealth preservation, governance and succession planning.
The trend coincides with continued wealth inflows into Singapore, with banks including UOB and DBS reporting expanding business from Taiwanese clients.
Advisers said affluent families are increasingly seeking internationally recognised governance structures that support overseas expansion while facilitating orderly generational wealth transfers.
