Standard Chartered Launches Alternatives Fund in Taiwan

Standard Chartered has launched the First Alternatives Fund in Taiwan’s Kaohsiung Asia Management Zone in partnership with First Securities Investment Trust and Prudential Life Insurance. The Standard Chartered alternatives fund in Taiwan is designed to give high-net-worth clients access to private credit, private equity and real assets, helping diversify portfolios, reduce volatility and hedge inflation. Introduced on the bank’s international trust platform, the fund supports Taiwan’s ambition to become an Asia Asset Management Center. Standard Chartered, celebrating 40 years in Taiwan, said it aims for double-digit growth in wealth management over five years, with recent expansions into premium financing and plans for Lombard lending.
