The combined wealth of Singapore’s 50 richest rose 23% to USD239bn in 2025, up from USD195bn a year earlier, according to Forbes Asia. The threshold to join the Forbes list climbed to a record USD1bn, reflecting strong gains as Singapore’s economy expanded 4.3% in the first half on export demand despite tariff concerns. Meta co-founder and permanent resident Eduardo Saverin remained the wealthiest in Singapore for a third year, adding USD14bn to reach USD43bn as Meta’s shares surged on AI-driven advertising. Property tycoon Kwek Leng Beng advanced to second with USD14.3bn, while brothers Robert and Philip Ng slipped to third with USD14.1bn amid Hong Kong’s property downturn.
