Sea and YTL Launch Ryt Bank, World’s First AI-Powered Bank in Malaysia

YTL Group and Sea Ltd have launched Ryt Bank Malaysia, billed as the world’s first AI-powered bank. The digital lender integrates advanced AI through Ryt AI, an assistant powered by ILMU, Malaysia’s first homegrown large language model. The platform supports Bahasa Malaysia and English at launch, with Mandarin to follow by September 2025. Ryt Bank aims to personalise financial services while ensuring security and accessibility, reflecting Malaysia’s culture and values. YTL Power International managing director Yeoh Seok Hong said the venture showcases Malaysia’s ability to build transformative financial innovations in collaboration with leading technology firms.
