Schroders Wealth Management Asia Appoints Peter Flavel as Board Chair

Schroders Wealth Management Asia has appointed former Coutts Chief Executive Peter Flavel as chair and independent non-executive director of Schroder & Co (Asia) Ltd, subject to regulatory approval, as the firm accelerates its expansion across one of its fastest-growing wealth markets.

Flavel brings more than 30 years of experience in private banking and wealth management and will work closely with recently appointed Schroders Wealth Management Asia Chief Executive Evonne Tan to strengthen the firm's regional strategy and client relationships.

His career includes founding Standard Chartered's global private bank, leading J.P. Morgan Private Wealth Management for Asia Pacific from Singapore, and serving as chief executive of Coutts.

Schroders said the appointment reflects its long-term commitment to expanding its Asian wealth management franchise amid rising regional demand for cross-border investment advice, family office services and sophisticated private wealth solutions.

The leadership changes are expected to support the firm's continued growth across key Asian markets.
