The Malaysia IPO market led Southeast Asia during the first half of 2026 after recording 36 new listings that raised USD1.3bn, according to Deloitte.
Across the region, 47 initial public offerings generated USD3.07bn, more than doubling the USD1.41bn raised from 53 listings during the corresponding period a year earlier.
Average deal size increased significantly to USD65m from USD26m, reflecting stronger investor demand for larger and more established issuers.
Three transactions exceeding USD500m—including UI Boustead REIT in Singapore, Sunway Healthcare Holdings in Malaysia and Dien May Xanh Investment in Vietnam—were key contributors to the increase in regional fundraising.
Deloitte expects the Malaysia IPO market to maintain its momentum during the second half of the year, while Singapore could attract more sizeable institutional listings as capital market reforms and a planned Nasdaq dual-listing platform improve market competitiveness and investor participation.
