LEAP East Hong Kong has secured a long-term future in the city after organisers confirmed a three-year partnership that will keep the technology and innovation summit in Hong Kong through 2029.

The inaugural three-day event attracted approximately 25,000 participants, including 600 investors overseeing more than USD6.5tr in assets, alongside 340 speakers, 450 exhibitors and 300 startups.

Organiser Tahaluf, together with the Hong Kong Tourism Board and the Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau, announced the agreement following the event's conclusion, with the next edition scheduled for December 2027.

The summit brought together investors, entrepreneurs, technology companies and policymakers from Asia and the Gulf to discuss artificial intelligence, fintech, digital infrastructure and smart cities.

Three startups from Finland, Saudi Arabia and Hong Kong shared USD100,000 in equity-free funding through LEAP's Rocket Fuel competition.

The continued hosting of LEAP East Hong Kong reinforces the city's ambition to strengthen its position as a leading regional technology and innovation hub.
