Korean Multi-Family Office Alder Hires Ex-Credit Suisse Veteran as Vice Chair

Korean multi-family office Alder Investments has appointed industry veteran SJ Hwang as vice chair, expanding its leadership team. Hwang, who previously spent nine years at Credit Suisse in senior roles including APAC head of products and solutions for private wealth management and APAC head of equities distribution, will lead Alder’s expansion of private wealth management and advisory services for ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families and businesses. Before Credit Suisse, Hwang was CEO and global head of equities, Hong Kong, at Samsung Securities. His new role at Alder underscores the firm’s ambition to build out multi-family office services amid rising demand in Korea’s wealth management sector.
