HSBC Singapore hiring will add more than 200 employees across artificial intelligence and wealth management as the lender expands two businesses central to its Asian growth strategy.
HSBC plans to recruit more than 100 AI specialists and a further 100 wealth managers.
A new Singapore AI centre is expected to open during the second half of 2026, with roles spanning natural language processing, data science, AI governance and human-centred design.
The centre will focus on personalising wealth management interactions, developing agentic treasury services and expanding AI-enabled digital payment capabilities.
The recruitment drive also supports HSBC’s strategy of increasing revenue from higher-fee wealth and transaction banking businesses.
Chief Executive Georges Elhedery has said artificial intelligence will eliminate some banking roles while creating others, requiring the group to retrain employees and reshape its workforce.
Singapore’s established financial sector and skilled talent pool make it a key location for the bank’s regional technology and wealth expansion.
