HSBC Asia Family Wealth Advisory Names Francesca Chan as Regional Head

HSBC Asia family wealth advisory capabilities are being strengthened with the appointment of former UBS executive Francesca Chan as regional head of family and philanthropy advisory for Asia-Pacific.

Chan will take up the Hong Kong-based position on Sept. 29 and report to Ann Ling, regional head of wealth planning and advisory.

She will lead teams advising ultra-high-net-worth clients on succession planning, family office establishment, family governance and philanthropy.

Chan brings nearly two decades of private wealth management experience.

She was most recently an executive director and senior family adviser at UBS, advising wealthy Asian families on succession, residency planning, governance and next-generation development.

Her previous positions include roles at Deloitte Private, Noah Global Family Office and BNP Paribas.

Chan began her career with HSBC Securities in Canada, making the appointment a return to the banking group as demand for sophisticated family wealth planning expands across Asia.
