Hong Kong wealth remains among the world's highest after the city ranked fourth globally for wealth per adult in the latest UBS Global Wealth Report, highlighting its continued strength as an international financial and wealth management centre.
The report underscores Hong Kong's importance for private banks, family offices and investment managers serving affluent clients across Asia.
UBS reported average wealth per adult in Hong Kong of USD648,267, placing the city behind only Switzerland, the United States and Luxembourg.
Median wealth per adult reached USD187,968, ranking sixth globally.
Globally, personal wealth increased by 10.8% during 2025, marking its strongest annual growth in several years and creating almost one million new US dollar millionaires.
Nearly half of the increase came from the United States, which added more than 440,000 millionaires, while Europe also recorded strong gains, partly reflecting a weaker US dollar.
UBS noted, however, that wealth inequality has continued to widen since 2020.
