Hong Kong financial cooperation with Slovenia and Poland is being expanded as part of wider efforts to strengthen economic and trade links across Europe and Asia, Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury Christopher Hui said after visiting both countries. Hui highlighted Hong Kong’s position as an international financial centre and gateway for mainland Chinese firms looking overseas, noting that tax agreements and bilateral frameworks could enhance business opportunities. He emphasised the city’s stable investment climate and global outlook as key factors in attracting foreign capital. During the trip, Hui also met mainland-founded companies listed in Hong Kong to discuss their international growth challenges, reinforcing the city’s role as a bridge for cross-border expansion.
