Hong Kong has been ranked among the world’s top 10 financial services talent markets and fourth in Asia-Pacific, according to Colliers’ Global Financial Services Markets 2026 report.
The Hong Kong finance talent ranking placed the city behind Singapore, Beijing and Shanghai, but ahead of Tokyo, reflecting its continued importance as an international financial centre.
Colliers classified Hong Kong as a Global Centre due to its strong international connectivity, concentration of financial-services headquarters and deep pool of front-office professionals.
The Hong Kong finance talent assessment gave the city an overall score of 3.3, supported by an industry output score of 4.0 and financial-services gross value added of USD66.8bn.
The report also highlighted Hong Kong’s strong growth trajectory, with a 25% compound annual growth rate in financial-sector deal activity over the past decade, the second-highest in Asia-Pacific after Seoul.
As firms increasingly compete for expertise in fintech, artificial intelligence and digital transformation, the findings reinforce Hong Kong’s status as a leading destination for financial-services professionals and investment firms.
