Hong Kong & Dubai Climate Finance Cooperation Expands with September Conference

Hong Kong & Dubai climate finance cooperation will deepen when financial regulators from the two centres hold their third Joint Climate Finance Conference in Hong Kong on Sept. 10.

The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) and Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) will bring together corporate leaders, investors and policymakers to discuss partnerships, financing solutions and innovations supporting the transition towards lower-carbon economies.

HKMA Chief Executive Eddie Yue said stronger alignment between Hong Kong and Dubai could help channel capital towards practical climate solutions at a time of heightened global uncertainty.

DFSA Chief Executive Mark Steward said the conference reflected the growing partnership between the two regulators.

The initiative also highlights efforts to strengthen financial links between Asia and the Middle East while positioning Hong Kong and Dubai as important centres for mobilising private capital towards climate-transition projects.
