HKIC Appoints 10 Asset Managers for New CIES Investment Portfolio

Hong Kong Investment Corporation (HKIC) has appointed 10 asset managers to oversee the 2025 capital batch of its New CIES investment portfolio under the Capital Investment Entrant Scheme, with the pool expected to reach at least HKD3bn(USD390m), HKIC said.

The appointed firms cover venture capital, private equity, private credit and hedge fund strategies and include Abax Global Capital, Beyond Ventures, CMC Capital, FirstLight Capital, Hidden Hill Capital, M Capital, Polymer Capital, Primavera Capital, Trustar Capital/CITIC Capital together with Vision Capital Investment Management, and Value Partners.

HKIC said capital from the New CIES investment portfolio will be distributed evenly across the 10 managers, with investments scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2026.

Applicants to the scheme are required to invest a minimum HKD30m, including HKD3m into the HKIC-managed portfolio.
