Geopolitics worries family offices worldwide, with many expecting risks to intensify, according to Goldman Sachs’ third Family Office Investment Insights report. Despite this, allocations remain steady, with some family offices prepared to increase exposure to risk assets. Over one-third (34%) of family offices worldwide plan to reduce cash balances and redeploy into risk assets, with 39% targeting private equity, 38% public equities, and 26% private credit. Thematically, 58% expect portfolios to be overweight in technology, with 86% investing in AI. The report also found that 33% now hold cryptocurrencies, up from 26% in 2023.
