Family office salaries are climbing sharply as competition with Wall Street drives up pay for executive assistants. Recruiters say some roles now command base pay above USD140,000, compared with an industry average of USD81,500. Median base pay stands around USD100,000 but can rise 35% higher at firms managing over USD2.5bn, according to Botoff Consulting. Bonuses of 10%–20% are common, and the top 10% of assistants earn nearly USD189,000, with total packages reaching USD240,000 at the largest firms. The trend highlights the expanded responsibilities of assistants, who manage expense reports, oversee household staff, and act as trusted confidants for ultra-wealthy families.
