Deutsche Bank Southeast Asia has strengthened its private banking leadership by appointing veteran wealth manager Jennifer Tay as vice chairman for Southeast Asia, reinforcing the bank's regional expansion strategy amid rising demand for wealth management services.
Tay will join on 3 August and report to Johanes Oeni, head of Southeast Asia for Deutsche Bank's Private Bank.
She arrives from Citibank, where she spent more than 20 years, most recently serving as market executive for Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Australia and New Zealand while leading Asia South investment counselling.
Throughout her career, Tay has advised ultra-high-net-worth individuals and held senior positions covering managed investments, portfolio counselling and institutional clients.
Deutsche Bank said she will deepen relationships with key private banking clients while enhancing senior client coverage across Southeast Asia.
The appointment reflects continued competition among global private banks to strengthen advisory capabilities in one of the world's fastest-growing wealth management regions.
