Citi Singapore Country Officer: Lee Lung Nien Appointed to Top Role

Citi Singapore country officer Lee Lung Nien has been appointed as the bank’s country officer and banking head for Singapore, marking the first time in 50 years a Singaporean national has taken the post. Lee, a 35-year veteran of Citi, currently serves as chairman of Citi Private Bank South Asia and previously led Citibank Berhad in Malaysia. He has also held senior positions across Asia, London and New York in anti-money laundering, operations, corporate sales and markets. Lee will assume his new role on 6 October, reporting to Amol Gupte, head of Citi Asia South, and will join the regional management committee. He succeeds Tibor Pandi, who is leaving after eight years in Asia, including leadership stints in Thailand and Singapore.
