Growing Asian wealth diversification is prompting wealthy families, founders and private investors to rebalance portfolios across multiple financial centres as geopolitical tensions in the Gulf encourage broader geographic risk management.

Bankers and advisers said some high-net-worth families are reviewing Middle East exposure following renewed regional instability, travel disruptions and security concerns.

However, industry executives stressed that the trend reflects prudent portfolio diversification rather than large-scale capital flight.

Singapore continues to reinforce its reputation as a preferred safe-haven destination thanks to its political stability, strong legal framework and established wealth management ecosystem.

Hong Kong is also attracting renewed interest through incentives designed to support family offices and cross-border investment activity.

Although Dubai remains highly attractive because of its favourable tax environment, global connectivity and business-friendly policies, advisers said many wealthy families now favour spreading assets across several jurisdictions to improve resilience against geopolitical uncertainty while maintaining exposure to international investment opportunities.
