Asian family offices explored investment opportunities in Britain during the recent Coutts Family Office Forum in Singapore as the UK intensified efforts to attract capital from wealthy investors across Asia-Pacific.

The Asian family offices UK discussions focused on cross-border investment opportunities, wealth management expertise and partnerships between Britain and Asia’s expanding private wealth sector.

Martin Kent, His Majesty’s Trade Commissioner for Asia Pacific, said the forum brought together family offices and private investors to discuss opportunities in the UK, which he described as the world’s second-largest wealth management centre.

Kent said the British government is actively supporting growth in the Asian family offices UK relationship by strengthening partnerships, facilitating investment flows and promoting British expertise across the region.

The remarks come as global financial centres and wealth managers compete more aggressively for family office capital amid rising intergenerational wealth transfers and increasing demand for international diversification among Asian investors.
