Asia-Pacific family office hospitality investment is gaining momentum as private investors increase their exposure to real estate and seek opportunities across regional hotel markets.

Hospitality has emerged as the leading real estate asset class for family office capital in Asia-Pacific, according to information released ahead of IHIF Asia in Hong Kong.

Knight Frank’s Wealth Report 2025 found that 44% of 150 family offices surveyed planned to increase their real estate exposure over the following 18 months.

Family offices are also becoming an increasingly important source of property investment capital because of their ability to deploy funds across markets using both debt and equity strategies.

IHIF Asia brought together family offices, property groups, investors and hospitality companies to examine investment strategies and potential transactions.

The programme included discussion of how family offices assess hospitality investments and how the growing presence of private capital can influence asset pricing.
