Asia-Pacific CFO resilience

Asia-Pacific CFO resilience remains strong despite growing geopolitical and economic risks, with finance leaders investing in digital transformation, artificial intelligence and operational efficiency.

A Deloitte Taiwan survey found that chief financial officers were more optimistic about their own organisations than about the global economy, reflecting confidence in their ability to withstand external shocks.

Companies are prioritising cash-flow management, supply-chain resilience, operational efficiency and expansion within existing markets.

The survey found that 54% had deployed AI in parts of their operations, while more than half reported measurable commercial benefits.

Among businesses with broader AI implementation, 65% said outcomes had met or exceeded expectations.

Deloitte said CFO responsibilities are expanding beyond traditional cost control to include capital allocation, workforce planning, digital transformation and long-term corporate resilience, reinforcing the increasingly strategic role of finance leaders.
