Amova Vietnam asset management expansion is moving ahead through a proposed joint venture with BIDV Securities as the Japanese investment manager strengthens its Southeast Asian presence.
The planned company, BSC Amova Asset Management, will serve individual and institutional investors by combining BIDV and its securities unit’s domestic customer base and local market expertise with Amova’s international investment capabilities.
Establishment of the venture remains subject to Vietnamese regulatory approvals and operating licences.
Amova identified Vietnam as a priority market under its 2022-2032 Global Growth Plan, citing economic expansion, rising financial wealth and the continued development of domestic capital markets.
BIDV, Vietnam’s largest state-owned commercial bank, has maintained a strategic relationship with Amova parent Sumitomo Mitsui Trust since 2013.
Tokyo-based Amova managed or advised on USD271.5bn of assets at the end of March 2026.
