Xi urges financial institutions to move to new flagship city


Chinese President Xi Jinping has reiterated his commitment to establishing a cutting-edge high-tech hub in the Xiong'an New Area, located in Hebei province near Beijing. During his visit to the area, President Xi called on state-owned enterprises and financial institutions to relocate to the flagship city. He emphasized the importance of concrete actions and sustained efforts to advance the development of the Xiong'an New Area, which is considered a national project of great significance. President Xi urged the immediate planning for the transfer of financial institutions, research institutes, and public institutions to the city. He also encouraged state-owned enterprises directly under the central government in Beijing to move their headquarters to Xiong'an.
