VMS Group dives into crypto with DeFi strategy

Hong Kong-based VMS Group, a multi-family office managing nearly USD4bn, is set to allocate up to USD10m into cryptocurrency strategies managed by DeFi hedge fund Re7 Capital. Managing partner Elton Cheung noted that while the final investment amount is under review, the move represents a pivot towards more liquid assets amid lengthening exit timelines for private equity deals. Traditionally focused on private equity and long-term investments, VMS is expanding into digital assets and exploring early-stage ventures in AI, biotech, and internet technology.
