Vietnamese Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chinh chaired discussions with leading global banks and financial funds about Vietnam’s burgeoning financial market at the 54th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos. The dialogue focused on Vietnam’s potential as a financial hub, drawing on its status as one of the world’s fastest-growing economies. Vietnamese officials clarified the country’s financial market legal framework, including anti-money laundering laws and infrastructure development. PM Chinh announced the formation of a group, led by former German Vice Chancellor Dr. Philipp Rösler, to guide the development of financial centres in Vietnam. The Prime Minister called for international support in policy making and financial sector reform.
