Bangkok is hosting the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) next month and Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has given assurances that the meeting will be a success. This was relayed by government spokesman Anucha Burapachaisri, who added that many leaders have already accepted invitations to attend the 29th APEC Economic Leaders' Week. Leaders from key economic zones and representatives of international organisations also reportedly accepted the invitation to attend the summit. The spokesman said details of the plan for the government to host the APEC summit under the theme of "Open. Connect. Balance." had already been finalised.
