Taiwan Financial Services Confidence Rises to 64.1% as Investment Grows

Taiwan financial services confidence increased to 64.1% in 2026 from 38.9% in 2024, reflecting stronger equity market performance and growing interest in investment products.
The Taiwan Academy of Banking and Finance reported the findings in its biennial survey of 1,070 adults.
The study found that 51.6% of respondents had sufficient savings to cover at least six months of basic living expenses.
However, 72% said they would rely on personal savings, family members or friends to manage unexpected financial emergencies.
More respondents also indicated willingness to sell stocks or mutual funds, borrow against insurance policies or obtain bank loans when facing unforeseen expenses.
The academy warned that younger investors could face heightened financial risks from market volatility and exposure to high-risk investment products.
The findings suggest improving confidence in Taiwan's financial sector, although household financial resilience and investment risk awareness remain important considerations for wealth managers and financial advisers.
