
Standard Chartered has appointed Khoo Kian Jin as head of private markets for South and Southeast Asia, strengthening the product capabilities of its private banking unit. Based in Singapore, Khoo will lead the bank’s private markets strategy in the region, reporting to Nicholas Cheng, head of the global private bank’s private markets group. Khoo brings nearly 20 years of experience in wealth management, including private banking, family offices, and commercial real estate. He previously led private wealth for Asia capital markets at Jones Lang Lasalle and served as CEO of a single-family office. He also managed ultra-high net worth client relationships in Southeast Asia and Greater China for over a decade. The appointment underscores Standard Chartered’s commitment to expanding its private banking services in the region.
