Standard Chartered has launched its first variable capital company (VCC), Standard Chartered Funds VCC (SC Fund), in Singapore. This new global fund management entity is designed to provide high-net-worth clients with access to exclusive, strategically curated investment options typically difficult to access. The SC Fund will work with top global fund managers for the daily management and investment decisions of the portfolio, focusing on long-term strategic asset allocation as a core component of client portfolios. Initially, these funds will be available to accredited and professional investors in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Dubai, with plans to expand to other major markets soon, according to Samir Subberwal, the bank’s global head of wealth solutions, deposits, mortgages, and chief client officer.
