StanChart appoints James Lye international banking head

Standard Chartered announced the appointment of James Lye as its global head of international banking based in Singapore. The appointment, which takes effect from November 1, will see Lye lead the group’s international banking team. He will report to the bank’s global head of affluent clients, Raymond Ang, as well as Samir Subberwal, head of consumer, private and business banking for Asia. The bank said it sees a growing need among affluent clients to manage their wealth across different jurisdictions due to increasing international and intergenerational mobility. International banking is currently offered by StanChart in four of its cross-border hubs - Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai, and Jersey.
