South Korea and Thailand began their sixth round of negotiations for a bilateral economic partnership agreement (EPA) on Tuesday in Seoul, aimed at deepening economic ties and addressing trade challenges. Talks will run four days and cover ten key areas including goods, services, investment, and the digital economy, according to South Korea’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. Seoul is seeking to advance relations with Thailand, ASEAN’s second-largest economy, amid global trade volatility and rising tariffs. The EPA would serve to diversify trade partnerships and strengthen resilience across sectors.
