SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won will preside over the 2025 APEC CEO Summit, held alongside the APEC leaders’ summit in South Korea, the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) said. Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province, was selected as the host city for the event, marking the first time South Korea hosts the APEC Summit since 2005. KCCI, acting as the Korean arm of the APEC Business Advisory Council, will oversee business meetings and represent South Korean firms during the summit. Chey will take over leadership from Peru’s Fernando Zavala at this year’s APEC CEO Summit in Lima on Nov. 14-15. Prominent Korean business leaders joining include executives from HS Hyosung, Kolon Group, and MegazoneCloud.
