The leaders discussed expanding cooperation into carbon credits and other green initiatives such as cross-border electricity trading and mangrove conservation. They signed a memorandum to collaborate on mangrove ecosystem empowerment in Indonesia. This agreement, involving local community engagement and academic research, aims to promote sustainable mangrove use and ecotourism. Additionally, the countries reaffirmed strong economic ties, with Singapore being Indonesia's top foreign investor. The retreat also marked a transition, as both leaders are preparing to pass their leadership roles to successors soon.
