Singapore has retained its title as the world’s costliest city for the third consecutive year, according to the Julius Baer Global Wealth and Lifestyle Report 2025. London rose to second place, followed by Monaco, Zurich, and Hong Kong, which slipped to third. Shanghai ranked sixth, while New York was the sole US city in the top 10. The report credited Singapore’s top ranking to its stability, healthcare, education, and safety—all factors appealing to high-net-worth individuals and businesses. Despite slipping a spot, Hong Kong remains one of the world’s most expensive cities.
