Singapore and Malaysia have agreed to begin discussions on Frameworks of Cooperation in the digital economy and green economy, according to a joint release. The announcement said Singapore’s Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) and Malaysia’s Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) seek to conclude the Frameworks of Cooperation this year. The Frameworks of Cooperation will serve as the basis for future bilateral cooperation initiatives in the areas of digital and green economies. Both ministers also affirmed the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework's strategic and economic significance, as a valuable platform for the US to engage the region.
