Singapore’s Fintech Association has embarked on Project Tapir, a collaboration with Malaysian venture capital firms Artem Ventures and OSK Ventures International Berhad (OSKVI), to support Singaporean fintech companies in expanding their operations to Malaysia. The initiative aims to highlight Malaysia as an attractive destination for foreign investment by showcasing promising startups in various sectors, including payments, regtech, insurtech, AI, sustainability, education, healthcare, and enterprise technology. The project, supported by 1337 Ventures, seeks to provide a comprehensive ecosystem to increase the success rate of market entry for these companies. A delegation from the Singapore Fintech Association is set to visit Malaysia in May 2024 as part of a business mission to facilitate this cross-border collaboration, promoting economic and talent exchange between the two countries.
