Singapore is establishing a Future of Finance Institute to accelerate financial innovation through greater adoption of artificial intelligence, tokenisation and emerging financial technologies, the Monetary Authority of Singapore announced.
The Singapore financial innovation initiative is intended to help transform successful pilot projects into large-scale commercial deployment.
The institute will bring together financial institutions, fintech firms, technology companies and academic researchers while building on existing MAS programmes including MindForge, PathFin.ai, Project Guardian and Project Orchid.
It will serve as a knowledge hub and provide innovation garages, regulatory sandboxes and practical implementation toolkits covering programmable compliance, tokenised assets and agentic AI risk management.
MAS said further details regarding governance arrangements and long-term strategy for the Singapore financial innovation programme will be released later this year, reinforcing the country's ambition to remain one of the world's leading financial technology centres.
