Credit Suisse has appointed Rehan Anwer as its new CEO for Singapore. He will succeed Singapore CEO Wong Chien Chien, who is leaving the bank to pursue interests elsewhere. Anwer will retain his existing roles as Southeast Asia CEO and head of Southeast Asia investment banking and capital markets (IBCM). Wong began her career with Credit Suisse First Boston in 1992 and has held key leadership roles across Singapore, Hong Kong, and New York. Within the APAC division, she was previously its chief operating officer, alongside other top roles in the investment banking and fixed-income units in the region. Anwer joined Credit Suisse in 2007 and previously worked at Deutsche Bank for nearly 10 years in Singapore, Indonesia, and Pakistan, covering various emerging markets in Asia.
