The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to establish exchange-traded fund (ETF) product links between the Singapore Exchange (SGX) and Shanghai Stock Exchange. This move follows a similar arrangement between SGX and the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. The agreement will enable fund managers to offer ETF products to investors on both exchanges, catering to the strong demand for China and Singapore equities ETFs. As of April, the combined assets under management for these equities in Singapore were S$2.9 billion. The new collaboration continues to promote cross-border cooperation and develop ETFs to meet rising cross-border investment demands.
