Shinhan Bank UK Investment to Reach USD2.7bn by 2030

Shinhan Bank plans to expand its total investment in the United Kingdom to KRW3.7tr (USD2.7bn) by 2030 as part of its strategy to strengthen financial cooperation and support UK industrial initiatives.

The plan follows high-level talks in London between Shinhan CEO Jung Sang-hyuk and Catherine West, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for the Asia-Pacific region. Shinhan has already invested KRW860bn in the UK since signing an MOU with the Department for Business and Trade in November 2023.

At its London branch relocation ceremony, Shinhan signed an agreement with UK Minister of State for Investment Poppy Gustafson to advance the investment roadmap.
