Peerapong Jirasevijinda has been appointed as the new CEO of SCB Julius Baer, the joint venture between Julius Baer and Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) in Thailand. Bringing over 27 years of experience in financial investment, Jirasevijinda previously led Bangkok Bank’s BBL Asset Management. He succeeds Lalitphat Toranavikrai, who remains on the board and has significantly contributed to growing the venture into Thailand’s largest foreign private bank. The partnership, formed in 2018, aims to leverage SCB’s local influence with Julius Baer’s wealth management expertise, targeting a market share of THB1tr (USD27bn) by 2020.
