PGIM Investments, the retail and high net worth distribution unit of PGIM, has announced the appointment of David Chang, a Franklin Templeton veteran, as its vice chairman for Asia. In the newly created senior leadership role, Chang will oversee the asset management businesses in India and Taiwan and PGIM Investments' joint venture with Everbright Securities. Chang will be based in Hong Kong. In a statement, PGIM Investments said Chang will work to expand the Asian hub for the firm and boost its presence in the region. He will report to Stuart Parker, PGIM Investments president and CEO. Chang was previously at Franklin Templeton for more than 20 years, holding the role of CEO and regional head of Greater China since 2007.
