Airwallex, a payments company headquartered in Australia, has announced the appointment of two new executives in Singapore. The senior hires are part of the company's efforts to further expand this year. Justin Yek was appointed as the Head of Strategic Finance and Corporate Development. He is joined by Jon Stona as the Global Head of Marketing. Both will report to Airwallex CEO and co-founder Jack Zhang. Zhang said the two executives will play a crucial role as he tries to build a connected and global organisation that is critical to new opportunities for Airwallex to grow and expand its operations. Yek has had over 10 years of experience in banking, finance, and startups, including work for Morgan Stanley and Citi. Stona used to perform senior marketing roles at Stripe, Google, and Nike.
