OP Investment Management (OPIM), a premier fund platform in Asia, is collaborating with LIFE Asset Management to introduce the LIFE Korea Engagement Fund, an offshore fund domiciled in the Cayman Islands. This new fund mirrors the strategy of LIFE’s flagship fund, which was previously available only to local Korean investors. It aims to exploit market opportunities in Korea by employing engagement activism to drive value in undervalued companies. This approach advocates for strategic improvements in capital allocation and corporate governance. Scheduled to launch on September 2nd, 2024, the fund targets global investors interested in the Korean market. LIFE’s AUM has notably grown from USD260m at the end of 2022 to nearly USD1bn, demonstrating its rapid success and influence in Korea’s investment landscape.
