Principal Financial Group, a global financial company listed on Nasdaq, has announced the appointment of Uday Jayaram as the firm's new Southeast Asia head. Jayaram will oversee Principal's entire Southeast Asia operations to drive business growth—while aligning strategy, businesses, and teams within the region—to build the capabilities to meet customers’ evolving needs. The company also announced the promotion of its executive managing director Mashafudding Syed Badarudin to CEO of the Principal Islamic franchise. Munirah Khairuddin will also be promoted to country head of Principal Malaysia, in addition to her role as CEO.
